Elizabeth Ichite attended Florida State University for her undergraduate studies and graduated with a bachelor's in exercise science. During this time, Elizabeth was actively involved in several organizations such as the Minority Association of Premedical Students, the African Student Association and the Golden Key International Honour Society. She was also very involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, where she served as a representative for the FSU women's track and field team. Outside of FSU, Elizabeth dedicated much time to volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club of Tallahassee and serving as mentor and tutor for at-risk children at Nims Middle School. Elizabeth has witnessed several of her family members in Nigeria living with poor health conditions due to limited resources and limited access to health care. She chose the Florida State University College of Medicine because of its dedication to serving those who are underserved, such as her very own family members.
