Lauren Jeck

Lauren Jeck graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 2014, with a Bachelor of Science in applied kinesiology and physiology and a concentration in exercise physiology. At UF, Lauren was a research intern at the Neuromuscular Physiology Lab located in the College of Health and Human Performance. She researched the neurological aspects of voluntary muscle movements and motor control in humans with a specific interest in reactive driving performance in older adults. Lauren was also the president of the student organization Gator Non-Profit Professionals (GNP) and an avid volunteer at Baby Gator Child Development and Research Center. She was an active member of the Chi Omega Sorority, serving as a member of the executive recruitment board and a participant in numerous intramural sports. Lauren has a passion for exercise, personal training and nutrition and loves the outdoors. She is honored to be a student at the FSU College of Medicine, and she values the school’s commitment to producing caring, compassionate physicians.
