Through sheer will and determination and help from a special FSU College of Medicine Faculty member, Mason Shamis and Courtney Nall cycled more than 1,300 miles to raise money and awareness for FSUCares’ local and international projects.

Cycling from Jacksonville to New York City, the pair raised more than $3,500 from the Tallahassee community. They were also given complimentary tickets for the journey home by a generous airline.

Along the way, they drew support from the kind hearted people of rural towns. As Courtney likes to say, they met many “angels.”
