1. Beginners' Guide to the FSU Medical Library

A 39-page presentation, in printable Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format, that explains how to get access to the Medical Library website and its resources, including how to login to EZProxy for FSU authentication. It tells how to navigate the library website and gives an introduction to some of the resources that are available there: PubMed, Ovid, MDConsult, and InfoRetriever.
2. How to Find Medical Information (quickly)

A diagram with clickable links shows which library resources are best suited for specific tasks: finding information to answer Clinical and Diagnostic Questions, finding information on specific Drugs, finding information suited for Patient Education, and finding information in Electronic Books and Journals.
3. Description of Online Medical Information Databases at FSU

A list of some of the medical information resources available from the Medical Library Home Page with short descriptions and access details. (in .pdf format)
4. Description of PDA Resources at the FSU College of Medicine

A list of the medical information resources for the PDA available from the FSU College of Medicine Library PDA pages with short descriptions and links for access. Included are resources that are licensed by the library as well as recommended free PDA resources. (in .pdf format)
5. The Online Catalog - Aleph.

The libraries of the eleven state state universities in Florida have transitioned to a new library system called Aleph. This change affects all aspects of library operations: ordering, paying for, and checking in materials; cataloging, circulation, overdues, binding, etc. May 2, 2005 was the date FSU began to use the new system. This link leads to a guide for the use of the new online catalog.
6. PubMed Workbook from NLM

This PubMed Workbook was created in January 2007 by the National Library of Medicine for day-long workshops for given by their staff. (in .pdf format)
7. EndNote Workshop and Workbook

This Endnote Workshop presentation was created for workshops for faculty, staff and graduate students of the College of Medicine that were held in December 2006. The PowerPoint presentation has been formatted as a pdf for your review and use as a workbook. There are several sample exercises that will help with understanding how this flexible information management program works. Please contact the Medical Library for more information about Endnote. 10. AAHSL Web Presentation: Spotlight on FSU Medical Library

This web presentation was prepared for a feature on the web site of the Association of Academic Health Science Libraries (http://www.aahsl.org/).
11. Newsletter - Latest Issue
Miniature of Newsletter
Read the Virtual Medical Library e-Newsletter, begun in February 2004. It contains announcements of new resources, spotlights established resources, and mentions a nifty feature for PDAs, all to enhance familiarity with current medical informatics techniques.
