Additionally, has Intact Protein Mode for characterizing intact proteins.

Xevo TQ-S: Staff Operated

  

Waters Xevo TQ-S UPLC-nESI-Triple Quadrupole is a tandem mass spectrometer that can be used to validate potential biomarkers. The TQ-S can be connected to The Waters Atmospheric Pressure GC/MS with Agilent 7693 Autosampler to analyze volatile and semi-volatile compounds or to the Waters NanoAcquity Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatograph, which uses low flow rates (nL/min) and high pressures (5000-6000 psi) to separate small quantities of proteins. 

MALDI-TOF: Researcher Operated

Shimadzu Axima CFR MALDI-TOF is a time-of-flight mass spectrometer with both linear and reflectron operational modes. The instrument uses matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization as ionization source. The mass range exceeds 100KDa in the linear mode and 10KDa in the reflectron mode. This instrument allows researchers to learn how to operate a mass spectrometer and identify proteins in their samples.
