FSU Emergency Medicine Interest Group was founded in the spring of 2002 by students interested in emergency medicine. EMIG strives to educate current medical students about the residency possibilities and practice of emergency medicine. To Join EMIG and request to join the organization or contact one of the current officers!

EMIG has hosted intubation clinics, suture clinics, lectures on the practice of emergency medicine, participated in FSU community health fairs by doing blood pressure checks and heart screenings, sponsored student observations in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital's Bixler Emergency Center, and helped send members to national conferences hosted by the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, American College of Emergency Physicians, and the Emergency Medicine Resident's Association. Future goals include arranging EMS ambulance ride-alongs, additional clinics, Q&A panels featuring local emergency physicians, and continued participation at national conferences. Feel free to contact any of the officers for any further information!
