Integration Themes

The following general topics have been identified by the College of Medicine as "integration themes" that should be woven throughout the curriculum. These themes/topics reflect important contemporary issues in the practice of medicine in the 21st century, and they reflect the mission and vision of the College of Medicine. Course directors have been charged by the Curriculum Committee with the responsibility of finding opportunities to incorporate relevant themes into their respective courses. The Office of Medical Education has been directed to track the integration of these themes across the four year curriculum and is doing so through the AAMC CurrMIT (Curriculum Management and Information Tool) data base.
