HEAL Submissions and Subscriptions

The following submissions will be considered for acceptance:

1. Forms of Literary Expression (Fiction or Non-Fiction) such as Narrative, Essay, or Poetry. Submissions should be less than 3000 words, and should center on the human condition. Topics may include, but are not limited to: medicine, illness, healing, aging, pain, emotion, etc. Special consideration will be given to pieces that tell stories of inspiration.
2. Artwork or Photography: All artwork and photography should be submitted in digital format (JPEG). Scanned images should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Art/Photography entries should seek to inspire the viewer.  Artwork cannot be larger than 20mb.
3. Music: Currently we are able to publish lyrics, and we are able to publish original compositions on our website.

To Submit to HEAL:
All submissions should be emailed to the editor at HEAL@med.fsu.edu. The subject line should read. HEAL SUBMISSION. Deadlines are January 31, March 31, May 30, July 31, September 30, and November 30 for the newsletters. Book pieces are selected from the published pieces in the newsletters.

Please send an email to HEAL@med.fsu.edu to be included on our mailing list. The subject line should read HEAL SUBCRIPTION. Subscription is free and subscribers will receive email copies of the newsletters, and in the future may receive weekly artistic works via email.
