Floyd Jaggears M.D., a Program in Medical Sciences alum from the class of T-'83, was chosen this past spring to serve as the second elected chair of the College of Medicine FSU Medical Alumni Board. The alumni board will meet twice a year – at the annual alumni reunion in April and on the weekend of one home football game each year (dates to be determined). Examples of duties the board include:
Currently, there are 1,029 graduates of the Florida State College of Medicine. In addition, the college counts more than 800 PIMS graduates as an important part of its legacy. The College of Medicine’s mission builds upon the PIMS mission, and including PIMS alumni provides an invaluable resource in guiding the alumni board’s goals and objectives.
Jim McNeill, assistant dean for development, and Chelsea Knott, alumni relations and special events coordinator, assist Jaggearswith alumni board management and other activities.
