The FSU College of Medicine, as part of the OneFlorida Clinical Research Consortium partnership with the University of Florida, is pleased to announce Round 2 of the Research Seed Grant Program and immediate call for proposal applications.
All full-time COM faculty (50% FTE or greater) and clinical faculty are eligible to submit an application for award.
Competitive awards ranging between $12,000 and $25,000 will be made available on a rolling basis. Funds must be spent within one year of receipt. The awards are intended to support research by FSU COM faculty members aimed specifically at collecting preliminary data involving the FSU COM Clinical Research Network for a research project that will generate future extramural grant applications.
Funds may be requested for anything essential to accomplish the research, excluding salary support for the PI and Co-Investigators. The seed grant mechanism seeks to enable full-time FSU COM research faculty to collaborate with FSU COM clinical faculty members. Proposals that support the participation of medical students and/or translational science graduate students/trainees are highly encouraged.
Applications for the second round of funding are due by January 9, 2017. Funding decisions will be made and notifications sent to applicants starting February 2017. Future awards and extended program timelines will be announced at a later date.
The Research Seed Grant Program is supported by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number UL1TR001427.
