Charles Saunders, Ph.D. was awarded a three year grant of $360,000 from the James & Esther King Biomedical Research Program. Dr. Saunders' proposal was the only social science project funded in a competitive application period with 57% fewer grants awarded than the prior year. Dr. Saunders' research will improve Florida's youth anti-tobacco initiatives by determining what effect peer, familial and media influences have on adolescent smoking.
