Name: Capital Regional Behavioral Health Center Outpatient Services
Description: Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This will include a Maternal Mental Health IOP track for adult women ages 18 and older that are pregnant or within the first year postpartum. These programs are a great resource for individuals whose needs may temporarily require a more intensive level of care than a traditional outpatient therapy setting can provide but do not warrant inpatient treatment. The Program offers unique and effective treatment sessions. Every aspect of treatment is intended to assist clients to achieve their optimal level of functioning. Psychiatric and physiological therapeutic intervention is provided in a safe, supported, structured environment with therapeutic expertise and a positive social milieu. The program provides a comfortable atmosphere to encourage interaction among clients and staff. This structure assists clients to be able to stabilize their condition and gain a higher level of overall functioning.

The outpatient treatment team includes a licensed therapist, a psychiatric nurse, the psychiatrist and other team members as needed. Each client is encouraged to take responsibility for his/her actions and know that they will be supported by a caring, professional staff that will facilitate their growth and recovery. Programming offers a wide array of structured therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dual diagnosis therapy, expressive arts therapy, and psychoeducational groups. Treatment is provided under the supervision of a physician. Medication management is provided by the physician. Individual and family therapy are provided by the clinical social worker on an individual basis in accordance with the client’s treatment plan. Family education is provided to support the patient’s skill set for ongoing recovery. Participation in the program is voluntary.
