Job Description

Susan N. LaJoie is a nurse practitioner at the Gadsden County school-based clinics. The College of Medicine has partnered with the Gadsden County Health Department to provide services to needy students in the county. Ms. LaJoie has worked in Gadsden since 2007 providing primary-care services to students at George Munroe Elementary School and Shanks Middle School as well as in other schools by request. The school-based clinic program is funded by the FSU Dance Marathon.

Education

Ms. LaJoie received her BSN from the University of South Florida in 1984 and her MSN from Florida State University in 1996 and a Doctorate of Public Health from Florida A & M University.

Research interests include health disparities in pediatric populations, human sex trafficking and caring for migrant workers.
