Department Mission
The Department of
Geriatrics prepares physicians in all medical disciplines to
provide exemplary care to older adults.
Alice Pomidor, MD, MPH Associate Professor, Florida State
College of Medicine presented “Dizziness & Falls: A Medical
Perspective”
Debora Oliveira, M.S., OTR/L and Bernard Smothers, M.S.H.A., PT,
Florida A & M University, School of Allied Health Sciences presented
“Dizziness & Falls: An Occupational Perspective” and “A Physical
Therapy Perspective.
Angela Massey, PharmD, Florida A & M University, School of
Pharmacy presented “Dizziness & Falls: A Pharmacy Perspective
Workshop”
Dean Cynthia Hughes Harris, School of Allied Health facilitated
the OT/PT workshops with her faculty members.
Attendees participated in case discussion and team care
workshops with problem-solving scenarios and inter-active OT/PT
workshops.
