Job Description

Mrs. Anderson is responsible for directing and managing the day-to-day operations of the College of Medicine’s undergraduate outreach programs and oversight of the department’s pre-college program. These responsibilities include new program implementation, program administration, program evaluation and assessment, and maintaining a database to track all students involved in the educational pipe-line, outreach program. She also is involved in academic advisement and career planning.

Biosketch

Mrs. Anderson joined the College of Medicine (formerly Program In Medical Sciences) in June 1993 after teaching science in Leon and Gadsden Counties for 4 years. Mrs. Anderson designed and implemented the SSTRIDE (Science Students Together Reaching Instructional Diversity & Excellence) outreach program in January 1994. SSTRIDE is a partnership program between Florida State University College of Medicine, Leon County Public Schools, the Area Health Education Center (AHEC), local physicians’ offices, clinics and community organizations.
