Job Description
A founding faculty member of the College of Medicine, Dr. Reyes serves as the Director of the Behavioral Science curriculum.
Biosketch
Dr. Reyes is a clinical psychologist with specialty in pediatric psychology. She has close to 25 years of experience in medical education. She served on the faculty at Baylor College of Medicine and developed the Pediatric Behavioral Medicine Program at Miami Children’s Hospital before joining the Program in Medical Sciences (PIMS) in 1991. She maintained a private practice until joining the College of Medicine full time when the college opened its doors in 2001. Dr. Reyes is the course director for the Medicine and Behavior I course and the Cross Cultural Medicine course. She also teaches in Doctoring I. As the Director of the Behavioral Science curriculum, she oversees the integration of Behavioral Science and mission-driven content into the four-year curriculum. She is the advisor for FSUCares.

Research Focus
Dr. Reyes is interested in culturally appropriate delivery of health care to underserved populations. She has a particular focus on the mental health needs of Latino children and families. She helped develop a school-based mental health delivery system for underserved populations in a neighboring rural county.
