Biosketch
|
|
Dr. Pomidor is a family practice geriatrician who has been actively involved for over 20 years in clinical teaching of medical students at all levels, residents training in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Surgery and OB/GYN, and as Geriatrics Fellowship Director at MetroHealth Medical Center. Dr. Pomidor previously served as Director of Geriatrics at Akron General Medical Center and Associate Clinical Professor of both Family Medicine and Internal Medicine at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Her community activities include serving on the Board of the Alzheimer's Project and on the Advisory Council of the Tallahassee Senior Center. She teaches frequently on a variety of topics in geriatrics, and has a special interest in functional testing as related to driving skills of older adults. She is on the Florida training team for the American Medical Association's program based on the Physician’s Guide on Assessing and Counseling Older Drivers. She is actively involved in geriatrics training as Associate Director for the Live Oak Geriatrics Education Center, reaching out to southeast Alabama, south Georgia, and northwest Florida health care professionals. |
