American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC)

AAMC conducts their annual conference each fall (late Oct. - early Nov.) and it overlaps with the Generalists in Medical Education conference.  Both are always held in the same city.  this conference is attended by faculty and administrators in medical education.  Within AAMC there are regional subgroups called Groups on Educational Affairs (GEA).  We are in the Group on Educational Affairs Southern Region.  They meet each spring (usually April).

International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE)

The IAMSE annual meeting are designed to explore strategies, trends, and future directions for teaching and learning the basic science throughout the continuum of medical training.  Annual meeting held in July annually.  Next meeting coming up in July, 2004 in New Orleans.  Click to see conference brochure for 2004 meeting.  Poster abstracts due, March 15, 2003.
