Introduction

College of Medicine Faculty Colleagues: The Faculty Council

This message is to inform you about the Faculty Council of the College of Medicine.

The Faculty Council exists to facilitate a variety of relationships between the Faculty and Administration of the College as is specified in Section I of the COM By-Laws, provided under the "Mission" link. The Council meets monthly, as provided in the By-Laws. Meetings presently are held on the first Friday of each month from 12:00 - 1:00.

As the College grows there will be the need for good ideas, as well as inevitable growing pains. The Faculty Council provides the formal mechanism by which individual faculty members can be heard, whether they have suggestions or concerns. You are invited to send your comments to the Council Chair for consideration by the Council, or to be included on the agenda at the next meeting. The Council also invites suggestions about how the Council should function, activities the Council might sponsor or foster, etc. A "Suggestion Box" link is provided for your convenience on the Faculty Council webpage.
