The Department of Biomedical Sciences in
the Florida State University College of Medicine invites
applications for tenure track faculty positions at all
ranks. Successful candidates will use genetic, molecular
and/or proteomics approaches to address fundamental
questions in cancer biology, developmental biology and
neuroscience. Appointees will be expected to develop and
sustain extramurally supported research and participate in
medical and graduate education. The environment for
collaborative and interdisciplinary research is outstanding.

curriculum vitae, an overview of future research plans, a
statement of teaching philosophy, and a list of references

The Department of Biomedical Sciences is the basic science
research and teaching arm of the College of Medicine. The
College of Medicine complex has more than 150,000 sq. ft. of
new, state-of-the-art laboratory space, an extensive
inventory of common use equipment and state-of-the art core
labs in proteomics, genomics, confocal microscopy, flow
cytometry, and cell culture. Current research in the
department is broadly focused on understanding the molecular
bases of human diseases. See
