Geriatrics Awarded $2.25 Million Grant

The federal Health Resources and Services Administration awarded the Department of Geriatrics at Florida State University College of Medicine a three-year, $2.25 million grant as part of the national Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program.

The North & Central Florida Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Partnership will develop a healthcare workforce that maximizes patient and family engagement and improves health outcomes for older adults by integrating geriatrics and primary care.

The partnership’s six projects will create new service delivery models, employ novel opportunities for interprofessional and interdisciplinary training, and provide patient and caregiver education.
