Twenty-two eager medical students arrived on the Treasure Coast in May to begin their third year of medical school at the Fort Pierce Regional Campus. After undergoing 3 days of orientation, hospital visits, paperwork and scrub training, they hit the ground running to start their clinical rotations in pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics-gynecology, family medicine, psychiatry and internal medicine. In their fourth year, they will tackle emergency medicine, advanced internal medicine, geriatrics, advanced family medicine and electives. All of our students work under the guidance of our dean, eight clerkship directors, an informatics curriculum director and more than 250 clerkship faculty physicians in our community. Welcome!
